One step closer to preventing the West Nile Virus!

 Wax Additive

Equine Bug-Off wax additive is exclusively formulated to mix with wax. It can be applied to trailers, and other metal surfaces, as well as other finished surfaces like stalls made of wood.

Advantages of Equine Bug-Off as a wax additive:
  • Insecticide bonds with the wax, eliminating harmful airborne sprays;.
  • Continuous protection during travel;
  • Applicators are not required to have a Pest Control Operator (PCO) license;
  • Only EPA-registered insecticide wax additive for both interior and exterior applications.
Wax mixed with the additive can be used to treat any trailer surface including aluminum and other alloys, and can be applied both on the interior and the exterior areas of a trailer with a low- or high-pressure spray pump. (Yes, it can even be mixed and applied using a backpack sprayer!)

One 5 gallon treatment package covers 1500 sq. ft. For best coverage and effectiveness, we recommend you apply a second treatment. If you are not sure how much to order, CLICK HERE for a listing of common trailer sizes and recommended amounts.

When added to the special wax, Equine Bug-Off's provides one (1) full year of preventative protection as you haul your horse from place to place and from exposure to exposure.

As a contact insecticide, we recommend that a treated surface be hosed off with water periodically throughout the year as this will provide a clean treated surface for insects to crawl and land on.
